Feeling Autumnal...

I'm only now realising that this might possibly be my most favourite time of the year. This year, the leaves seem to be so much more crisp and warm toned.
Not to mention my Instagram account blending in with the theme..........
 Oh, and my dog.............
Autumn is such a nice time of year because the weather isn't so horrible that you might as well wear wellie boots and the most waterproof raincoat. You can still wear your nice, suede timberland boots, with a nice thick coat that doesn't have to be waterproof.

I'm finding outdoor very easy to photograph at the moment so be prepared for all the outdoorsy-pretty picture posts!

I'm heading out in search of a DIY white backdrop this week so that I can do a beauty post soon of my favorite products at the moment. I would usually just find some rustic background at home but I'm at university now, and, well, you probably know what the rooms look like!!

Hope you're having a lovely week,
x

A Fresh Start

To anyone reading, after so many attempts to post a weekly blog, I have decided to give it m all.
My aim is to post a weekly blog to start with and to become comfortable writing about my experiences.

I moved to Bristol in September to study a Business Management course at university. The city has opened my eyes to all the amazing opportunities out there that so many of us are oblivious to! From this realisation, I've decided to share with you some pictures I snap in the next chapter of my life.

I want to keep this post small and simple, so I'll keep to the basics!

I thought I knew who I was and what I stood for, but going to Bristol has definitely been one of the hardest things EVER. Fitting into univeristy is sooo hard for me right now. Coming from such a small, welcoming village is proving tough for me. I have never moved home, and studied at school and college which was so close to where I live, I had no reason to travel far.

I'm such an opinionated (in a good way), loud, smiley, person but since arriving at Bristol, all I've found myself doing is holding back. I seem to be in a little bubble that I just can't burst my way out of.

However, not all things are bad. Whenever I have a bad day, I try to remind myself of the positive things. The feeling of self-worth and accomplishment when I achieve my degree. The many new people I'll meet and create wonderful memories with. Finally, the person I will become.

Many more posts to come,

Chaos!!!

So much for the next post being 'very soon'!! (I'll be late for my own funeral)...

I have been super duper busy lately with work, college and applying for university! Not to mention I'm off to NEW YORK Thursday!! Too many things going on at once.

I mentioned in my last post that I'd post some pictures I took whilst on my lovely walk in the park. I use a free editing software that can be downloaded from Google it's called 'GIMP 2'. I have previously used Photoshop and find it nearly all of the features that Adobe does. Excellent for basic editing photographs.

This post is an old one that I never managed to put up, sorry!! :-(

Long Time No Speak.........

I have had the craziest month or two!
I decided to plan a couple of festivals in August as I wanted to make it a memorable summer. Little did I know I would be exhausted by the end of the month. I have organised three festivals in three weeks. Not mentioning I had to work every day I was home from a festival (leaving me with no recovery time)!

The first festival I attended was Boardmasters. It was overall a good festival, a little too calm for my liking and sadly all Sunday acts were cancelled due to the bad weather conditions!

The second festival I went to was V Festival. This was the second year attending V (yes, I still have my 2013 wristband on)! It was absolutely amazing. I went with a group of 10 people and we enjoyed every minute of it! We all managed to see every single act we wanted to see (with a lot of running from The Arena to the V stage etc)!

The final festival was Creamfields. This was by far the best and worst. Anyone reading this who attended Creamfields would know what I'm talking about when I say the mud was not just mud!! It was past the ankle, milkshake consistence muck! I was ever so lucky not to have slipped on my way over to Indigo camp (probably the furthest away). My sister and I didn't see all of the acts we had originally planned to see but weren't disappointed with the ones we managed to catch such as Avicii, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike (my favorite!!), Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix and so on.

As you have probably gathered, I have a wide range when it comes to my taste in music!
You can see all the videos and pictures I uploaded from my month and give me a follow on my Instagram page:

My next blog will be up very shortly. It will be a picture blog on my beautiful walk in Craig y Nos park last friday.

A Little Bit About My Week.........

I've had a manic past few days trying to get a lot done doing my new room out. I have also been trying to film some of my days as I'd like to post a vlog by the end of August looking back at my summer. I would post the videos sooner but I am still trying to find the best video editing software available! If you know of any great ones leave a comment below! Would be much appreciated.

Recently, I have been trying to knit my own pillow case! It's coming along good and has a consistent cream and candy floss pink striped theme throughout. I learnt to knit when I was around 6 years old. My grandmother taught me and ever since I would always try and start knitting some garments but unfortunately she passed away when I was 8 years old and never had the chance to show me how to bind off a knitted item. Ever since a young age I have been so passionate about design, arts and crafts and all the other bits and bobs. Here's a sneak peak at the basic knit pillow case when I started it....

I have been thinking a lot lately about what to do with my future and what to do as a career. I have always said my dream job would be something involving design and I am seriously contemplating going for it as I am that passionate about the interest.

On one of my shopping trips to pick out some stuff for my new room I decided that I really needed a pair of 'blue ethnic print trousers' from New Look which I LOVE. I rung around a few local stores to see if they had them in stock before I travelled there to find out they didn't! One store didn't take the product number, said they had them in stock and agreed when I said they had vertical Aztec patterns (I had a feeling they would be the wrong ones!) In a complete rush home, I stopped at the store, queued 10-15 minutes as they were put behind the till to find out they were a paisley/floral print... No where near the ones I had described. I was so annoyed. It turned out they didn't have them in stock frustratingly! The member of staff that answered the phone should have checked the product number.

Rant over.
I had a lovely, chilled sunbathing day today and caught such a good tan considering I haven't long arrived home from Greece.

I'm going to leave the blog post here for now as it's getting late and I'm up early for work!
Goodnight,
GCS
