A Little Bit About My Week.........

I've had a manic past few days trying to get a lot done doing my new room out. I have also been trying to film some of my days as I'd like to post a vlog by the end of August looking back at my summer. I would post the videos sooner but I am still trying to find the best video editing software available! If you know of any great ones leave a comment below! Would be much appreciated.

Recently, I have been trying to knit my own pillow case! It's coming along good and has a consistent cream and candy floss pink striped theme throughout. I learnt to knit when I was around 6 years old. My grandmother taught me and ever since I would always try and start knitting some garments but unfortunately she passed away when I was 8 years old and never had the chance to show me how to bind off a knitted item. Ever since a young age I have been so passionate about design, arts and crafts and all the other bits and bobs. Here's a sneak peak at the basic knit pillow case when I started it....

I have been thinking a lot lately about what to do with my future and what to do as a career. I have always said my dream job would be something involving design and I am seriously contemplating going for it as I am that passionate about the interest.

On one of my shopping trips to pick out some stuff for my new room I decided that I really needed a pair of 'blue ethnic print trousers' from New Look which I LOVE. I rung around a few local stores to see if they had them in stock before I travelled there to find out they didn't! One store didn't take the product number, said they had them in stock and agreed when I said they had vertical Aztec patterns (I had a feeling they would be the wrong ones!) In a complete rush home, I stopped at the store, queued 10-15 minutes as they were put behind the till to find out they were a paisley/floral print... No where near the ones I had described. I was so annoyed. It turned out they didn't have them in stock frustratingly! The member of staff that answered the phone should have checked the product number.

Rant over.
I had a lovely, chilled sunbathing day today and caught such a good tan considering I haven't long arrived home from Greece.

I'm going to leave the blog post here for now as it's getting late and I'm up early for work!
Goodnight,

They Weren't the Prettiest but are Definitely the Tastiest....

I decided to bake some cookies! They weren't the prettiest but are definitely the tastiest. Out of 11 there are only 3 left in 12 hours!
If any of you have some tips on keeping the chunky shape of a cookie when it's in the oven, please comment below!
I used a recipe from one of my baking books called Cooking with Chocolate by Nancy Lambert.
I'd also like to say that I love my bake wear. I had a personalised pink mixing bowl as a Christmas gift along with a personalised engraved wooden spoon (which isn't in any of these pictures) both from Not on the High Street. I also had this lovely floral apron which reminds me of Cath Kidston!
I am now off to make some chocolate fudge truffles
Happy baking,

Feeling Poorly.........

Just thought I'd write a little blog expressing how poorly I have been feeling since I returned from my lovely holiday in Greece. I've had a lot of time recently to think about what I'd like to do with my blog and am obsessed with watching vlogs such as Hannah Maggs, Zoella and Tanya Burr! I just think the way they put so much of their life into vlogging is amazing. I feel so grateful to have found these vloggers and am lucky to see how they live their lives. I found Zoella's page back in (it must have been around) 2011-2012 when I was obsessed with reading Llymlrs blog! I would love to one day have the confidence to vlog the way these people do.

After having the best week of my life so far I now have such a painful throat and chest infection! Gone from one extreme to the other! I thought I'd fill  you in on what interesting experiences I had on my first girls holiday. Here we go....

So, we started the holiday in the airport at 3am!! I had finished packing 4 hours before this and had no sleep whatsoever. The journey to the airport went very quickly and so did the boarding for the plane! Although I did have to go into a new security machine (it was very intimidating I just had to stand there with my hands in the air whilst it detected where I had metal on me!) because I beeped. It was because of this (although it is very grubby I am very proud I've kept it on for this long)......
This is my V Festival wristband from the August 2013 festival. It has a metal clamp securing it!

The plane journey was surprisingly fine. Having a seat by the window has always been a big deal for me. I hate the middle seat because you're forced between two people and I was always too young to sit on the lane seat. Considering I panic so much when taking off and landing during turbulence and not seeing where I am landing, I was significantly calm as we had a beautiful view as soon as we burst through the clouds, look...

The flight duration was shorter than scheduled and we arrived at the very beautiful hotel in Greece at around 1:30pm (11:30am British time!)

I needed some time to rest when we arrived but that was impossible, everyone wanted to go and explore. We went to the supermarkets to buy some Lay's crisps, I don't know if this is just me but, I find Lay's soooooo much nicer than Walkers! For those of you who have no idea what I'm speaking about, you will never find Walkers crisps in so many countries away from the UK, only a brand called Lay's. Walkers is Lay's British sister company (according to yahoo answers).

I stocked up on about 3 large bags of prawn cocktail flavour as I am the biggest crisp lover.
We ventured through every street to Laganas strip, the beach and finally back home. I slept by the pool for the remaining afternoon!

This is going to be the end for my blog as I'm super tired now,
Goodnight

Holiday Shopping List

I'm laying here restless in darkness patiently waiting to be task-free. I have the endless list of items to purchase and things to do before my flight (approximately 51 hours away) running through my head.
"I need to buy a beach towel, a beach bag, a flight bag... Foundation.... Makeup and toiletry bags...
I need to pack, check in online, organise all of my documents..."
The list does not end. Once an item gets checked off the list, another one crops up. I am feeling extremely anxious. Not to worry though, whether or not I get any sleep tonight and tomorrow night I will still complete this impossible task!
As much as I love a holiday and the sun, I always ask myself 'is it really worth all of this hassle?'
Yes! Yes it is. Soon I will be in a hotel room standing on a balcony with a view similar to this......

Although, I will be in Greece this time. Not Ibiza.

Some people say I'm the most organised person they know. I always think to myself why on earth they seem to think that as in my world, I am the least organised. I mean, I still haven't labeled my travel mini's.....

But.... I did manage to get all of my bikini shopping done months ago. I purchased a royal blue cut-out swimsuit from ASOS (last in the size *fist pump*), a beautiful turquoise and pink floral bikini that has the most gorgeous feminine frills, a red and white polka dot, high waisted bikini and last but not least, a cute, strapless, dark green tribal bikini. All of which I purchased from ASOS.com.

I am now going to try and rest my eyes. Until next time, goodbye

Greece bound....

So, I arrived here at 10am(8am UK time) Thursday. The weather is absolutely scorching hot. Nearly unbearable.
Take off was not bad at all but landing was a whole other story. It was as if the pilot completely forgot to brake.
I had to edit this post for you guys as it was so short and very poor! I was very tired on my holiday when I wrote this, sorry!

I'm finding it so hard keeping up with such a busy, roust night life here. I'll wake up at 10am and won't get back to the hotel until 4am-6am. Proving to be very difficult!
It's currently 31 degrees here today with no cool breeze to calm us down.
I am in love with the foreign men that come around the pool side selling stuff. One comes around every day shouting 'Hakuna Matata'. He's selling very pretty patterned anklets/wristbands/braids. He makes them by hand and you even get to choose your own colours! (please excuse the poor background I wanted to show you what they looked like)
I love them so much, I even bought a coral and navy one too which I'm currently wearing now.

I best be off to get some raise by the pool....
